Kemit Learning Center
Vibrant. Challenging. Fun.
The activities for the day will vary based on the needs of the individual child and the importance of providing a variety of activities and quiet times in a child’s day. A complete daily schedule of activities for each age group is posted in the classroom.
Breakfast ~ Snack ~ Lunch ~ Snack
BREAKFAST/Morning Snack 7:30-8:00 AM. If your child is dropped off after breakfast, it is your responsibility to feed your child. It’s advisable that the children do not bring in outside food, unless individually wrapped and enough to share.
We believe that eating healthily is extremely important in the development of young children. We recognize that children should be able to enjoy food as well as learn good behaviors for the future.
We acknowledge that sugary foods and drinks, fatty foods or foods containing additives are almost unavoidable in the modern diet. However we have tried our best to plan our menus to minimize these influences and encourage enjoyment of a wide range of foods, including organic and multi-cultural produce.
Meals will be prepared freshly each day in our new kitchen. Menus for the week will be posted on the Parent’s notice board.
We encourage children, where appropriate, to get involved in the planning and preparation of snacks. Snacks will include foods such as raw vegetables, raisins, cheese, toast, fruit, milk and water. We do not serve Beef or Pork meats and products in our menu.
Babies will be encouraged to try different foods, which will be prepared in our kitchen.
We welcome suggestions from parents on any aspect of the children’s meals and snacks.
